How Can I Make My Life Better? (It Begins with the First 2 Minutes of Every Morning!)

We are an amazing species. Yes us, the human BEINGS. Why? Because we are the only species that has the ability to create our lives the way we want them to be. We are the only ones who can ask How Can I Make My Life Better and then work towards the desired outcomes.

Look at the other life forms on the planet. Do you see the lion running around worrying about what color to paint his house? Do you hear the trees complain if it rains for three days in a row? What about the birds? How often do they stay in their nests because the wind is blowing in the wrong direction?

So, all life, apart from us, just gets on with it! They are not “BEINGS” because they cannot just ‘be.’ The animals, insects, and plants just DO! And all they can do is conform to their programming which sets the limits of their life experience.

A walnut tree can only ever produce walnuts, and even if it really, really, wants to bear cashew nuts, it never will. A lion will behave like all the other lions because that is how they are programmed. And an ant will follow the encoding dictated to it by the genetics of its species.

But humans are a different story altogether. We have something that no life form on this planet possesses, and that is a powerful creative conscious mind.

However, it seems that not many of us understand how to use this incredible technology to our advantage. And so we waste its power complaining about trivial stuff that will not matter tomorrow, about stuff that is outside of our ability to control, and stuff that we just don’t like for whatever reason!

How Can I Make My Life better? It Begins with the First 2 Minutes of Every Morning!

Our lives will become better once we understand what a magnificent powerful creative tool our brains are. We can teach them to focus on, look for, and create the reality we desire. And the best time to begin this is when we wake up in the morning. Spending just 2 minutes feeling gratitude for the good things in our lives is a great way to start our day. It focuses our brains on remaining positive, receptive, and open for more good things to come in the day ahead.

Understanding Our Brains Better Will Help Us Build Better Lives!

We each have a brain that has more circuitry than the entire phone network on the planet, or the number of stars we can see in the sky. And yet we are too often using it to find faults with ourselves, with others, with our work, the weather, etc………. I don’t know about you, but to me, this just doesn’t seem like a good use of our magnificent brains!

If more of us realized the enormous creative power that is available by learning to better utilize our brains, we could use them to transform our lives tomorrow, and the whole world for the better by the end of the week!

However, most of us have never been taught how powerful our brains are. And to make matters worse, we don’t understand the way they work….. Therefore, we are unable to use them to our full advantage.

The most important thing to understand about our brains is that: WE ARE NOT OUR BRAINS! Our brain is just another part of us, like our hand, our big toe, or our lungs. None of these things define us or control us. However, we can use all these physical parts of us and train them in ways that benefit us. And when we know how, we can do the same with the different parts of our brains.

So, if we are not our brains or the other parts of our bodies, what are they in relation to us? These physical aspects of ourselves are just the current vehicle that our spirit/consciousness is using to have this physical experience in this place, at this time.

Building a Better Life requires that we Do Things Differently so that we don’t continue to recreate the same life conditions over and over again!

Presence Power and Profit review-adThe aspects of ourselves that determine the quality and give meaning to our life experiences are our thoughts and emotions. And the reality is that most people are thinking in ways that DO NOT complement the things that they want from their life experiences. I.e. most of us want more money, greater love, more fun, etc…..

However, most often, our thoughts are not aligned with creating this reality for us. Instead, our thoughts are byproducts of the environment that we are daily interacting with. Therefore, we are having thoughts about stuff and experiences we have already had, are currently having, or are thinking about having. And our feelings are a direct result of these thoughts.

So, if our thoughts and feelings are the results of stuff we are observing and interacting with, this means we are not creating anything new or better. And this is our greatest misuse of our brains…..

We are not using our brain in its capacity to CREATE, but rather as a reactionary tool in response to stuff that has happened, or stuff that we think may happen.

And how does constantly reacting to existing stuff help us get what we want in life???? Well, it doesn’t…..unless we already have everything that we want in life. Because when our brains are focused on ‘the existing’ we are not using their power to create the new stuff we desire to be a part of our lives.

For example: If we are immersed in an environment where our family, friends, teachers, and neighbors are poor, and we talk about how hard life is all the time…… then this is what our minds are exposed to on a continuing basis. It is our current reality and if we continue to focus on it, it’s almost certain to be our future reality….. UNLESS WE CAN LEARN TO SEPARATE OURSELVES FROM THIS REALITY, MENTALLY, EMOTIONALLY, AND PHYSICALLY AND THEN CREATE SOMETHING BETTER WITH NEW THOUGHT PATTERNS.

To Get What We Want, we need to Retrain Our Brains to focus on it so what we desire becomes a driving force in our lives!

How Can I Make My Life Better-Frustrated woman screamingWe are not exercising control over our lives if we are waking up and allowing thoughts of yesterday’s problems, or potential worries about today, to flow through our minds. This is important to understand because it is our thoughts that we base our entire reality on. And if our natural inclination is towards the negative, we will receive matching circumstances, events, and people into our lives…… so, don’t think negatively….. just don’t do it for any reason at all!

It’s important to understand that what we believe to be real, what we consider is possible, and what we think and feel about ourselves IS the information that our brains operate with to manifest our reality. It is all just information, and all of it is important….. What we think and how we feel in every single moment is important! Why? Because all of it adds up to our overall life experience…..

And the reason why we are often not getting the results we want (not reaching goals, dreams not coming true) is because of what we believe about life and what we believe about ourselves. This means that for each of us, our reality doesn’t exist outside of our brains, because our reality is a product of our thoughts and subsequent feelings……

This is why, if we want to improve our lives, we must teach our brains that we are in control of what we are going to think. And then program them to think thoughts that align with our goals and dreams.

And the best times to do this, the times when our brains are most receptive to learning new stuff, is when we are waking up first thing in the morning, just before we drift off to sleep at night, or during our meditation practice.

It is at these times, when our brains are in a receptive brainwave state, that we can teach them better habits, we can develop and grow our feelings of love and appreciation, and we can train our brains to look for stuff, ideas, and opportunities that we have been missing up until now…. All these things add to our choosing to ‘consciously evolve’ ourselves.

What are Some Ways I can Retrain My Brain to Create A Better Life for myself?

We are bio-electrical beings, and as such are senders and receivers of energy. Our energy signals, (our vibrations) like radio waves and cell phone signals, radiate out into the universe. And they are ‘picked up’ by a matching/resonate signal.

It’s like when we tune the radio to 96FM, we will receive the information being broadcast only on that station, not the frequency above or below. And when our physical, mental, and emotional energies are tuned to poverty, hardship, and lack, then The Law of Attraction/Vibration dictates that that is what we will receive….. nothing above or below that specific frequency.

So, how can we rewire our thoughts and emotions to receive the new desires we have for a better life for ourselves?

These are some daily rituals, which if implemented, will help us achieve our goals. These are ideas based on what Bob Proctor teaches in the above video.

1) Upon waking up, first thing, make a mental list of things you are grateful for. They may include: You’re alive, healthy, have family, the sun’s up or it’s raining (both are good reasons to be grateful,) you have a job that makes money, or you have free time to look for things you want to be doing, your cat is happy to see you…….etc.

Doing this ensures we are already feeling great when we get out of bed…. And if we don’t stop here, we can carry this feeling on into our other morning activities….. an alternative is to wake up in a shitty or depressed mood (but why would any sane person want to inflict that kind of self-harm upon themselves?)

2) Have a vision board that contains images of your past successes. Look at it every morning and remember how you were able to achieve the things that you wanted in the past. This reminds us that what we set our minds to, we can achieve.

By placing our deliberate attention on what is working for us and what we have previously achieved, instead of focusing on our problems, we will create new neural connections in our brains that strengthen our minds’ ability to create our better-desired future.

“WHEN WE GET TO THE POINT WHERE WE CAN IMAGINE GREATER THAN OUR PROGRAMMED LIMITATIONS, THAT IS WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS, THAT IS WHEN REAL POSITIVE CHANGE OCCURS.”

If we adopt these 2 practices as part of our morning routines, (and before going to bed as well,) they will give our minds clarity about what we want to achieve. They will also reinforce the fact that we can achieve the things we desire, based on our past successes. And then we are set up for no.3……

Woman meditating on a beach, promotion for Zen 12 meditation program3) Make time to meditate, preferably for at least 15 minutes before breakfast. Just sit quietly and comfortably and allow your breathing to become relaxed. Then become detached from your thoughts and just watch them pass through your mind, without judgment.

Sometimes there may be no thoughts, and other times you can follow the thoughts that align with your goals to see where they lead. It’s probable that there will also be unwanted thoughts. With these, just say to yourself I release that one, and that one. The point of being selective is that we want to train our brains that it is our conscious mind that is in control of what we think!

If we do this morning practice, including numbers 1, 2, and 3, the whole routine need only take 20 minutes. However, it shouldn’t be a stressed, rushed, or forced 20 minutes.

The whole purpose of doing these things is to cultivate a mind that is relaxed, clear, and focused on what we want it to focus on…. creating better lives for ourselves. Therefore, if you approach this time with ease and with a sense of eager anticipation of better things to come, it will become a very rewarding and satisfying experience. And in 5 years, your lives will be so much better than they are now.

Building A Better Life requires that WE Create Better Thoughts and Habits.

Once we begin to realize that there is real power to create within us, we also understand that our future is in our hands. And we can make that future better by learning how to use our magnificent brains to our advantage. By changing our thought processes we can become healthier, wealthier, happier, and wiser. And by doing so, we are adding more meaning to our lives by living more purposefully….

Living on purpose, instead of by default, allows us to more easily recognize, understand, and overcome what we may now consider obstacles in our lives. These things are currently obstacles only because we may lack the knowledge, skills, or confidence to deal with them. However, these are only ideas we currently have about ourselves.

None of us are alone in having problems and challenges in our lives…. Everybody has stuff they are dealing with. However, when we retrain our brains, we can change the limiting beliefs that have been holding us back from achieving the successful and happy lives we desire.

How Can I Make My Life Better-yogi meditating surrounded by energyIf we start to change the way we think and get beneficial results, it will propel us into even more beneficial processes and actions. So instead of spending our time with our energies scattered in many different directions, we could begin now to set aside time to learn more about achieving the outcomes we desire.

A good idea is to put aside an hour each day to upgrade our knowledge and skills and take action on the 3 to 5 most important things that will lead to us achieving our goals. And by simply doing this, we are guaranteed to achieve the things we set out to do….. In a short time, our lives can be transformed!

The key takeaway from this blog is that:

We have an amazing, incredible, powerful, creative tool at our disposal, (our brains.) And if we learn how to direct them toward what we want, we can create the life of our dreams!

  1. Hi Andrew,

It’s funny I got up this morning, got washed, and thought I was all ready to start the day but instead, I just crawled back into bed and I really didn’t want to get out of it. I just didn’t…. so I think maybe I need to try something like this because I kind of regret it – not getting up and starting the day at the first opportunity.

I feel like your blog actually nailed it – in an ideal situation I should be getting up and working towards what I believe is truly possible. Not feeling defeated before I’ve even got started. It is bad because I know that my brain is on another level of creation first thing in the morning – It’s like in the cartoons with the lightbulbs over the head. Maybe I can try this tomorrow – the 2 steps you mentioned I think would be a walk in the park.

I do have a lot to be grateful for and in the past few years, I have had some amazing experiences. I guess the world right now is a very grim place, but maybe I should try more LOA exercises to see if they help.

    1. Hi Alex.

Yeah, sometimes life just sucks…. and it seems like it’s never going to get any better. However, it always does. Nothing is ever permanent, and everything is always changing.

We are fortunate that as humans, we are able to influence the direction of change. We can either descend further into darkness or consciously choose to move towards the ‘light.’ And by taking a few moments in the morning to set our energy up, orientated towards a positive, happy, and fulfilling day, we are actively choosing that experience for ourselves….. And sure maybe everything will still not work out as well as we hope, but it’s going to be much better than if we wake up and start our days in a depressed, angry, or hopeless state.

If you make it a habit to wake up and be grateful for all that the new day can provide, you will be sure to find more and more things to be grateful for…. This is the Law of Attraction at work in our lives.

I wish you a great day mate, everyday…. but it’s up to you to make it so!
      All the best,
      Andrew

  2. Hi Andrew,
You have well noticed how important the morning is for our mood during the day. “In the morning, the day is known”, people say this, and it is the truth! Whenever I wake up in a bad mood, the day is horrible and vice versa. The problem is that the morning is busy for all of us, we are busy preparing for work and it is quite stressful. Therefore, in my opinion, it is important to have a habit in the morning, a routine that fulfills us. Like a cup of our favorite coffee or the meditation CD’s you advise.
A few minutes of good vibes work wonders!

I think most people are not aware that the brain is a powerful tool for achieving goals. From my personal experience, several great wishes have come true precisely because I thought of them and believed in them. Prayer also helps me a lot. I feed my thoughts with it and keep my mind at a high frequency. I can say that it helps because bad things in life and failures rarely happen to me. On the other hand, the majority of people destroy their lives with their black thoughts.

I know people who have been negative since early morning and their life is hard.

Thanks for the tips, lessons, and attached techniques. I can’t wait for the new text.
    All the best,
    Danijela

    1. “In the morning, the day is known”… I love this, and yes it is true.
I’ve never been able to work out why people who are stressed in the mornings just don’t wake up earlier so they have time to do everything they need to do in a relaxed and easy manner? It just seems logical to me….

Prayer is an awesome way to connect to our higher vibrational selves… to that which is the God aspect of us. But many people who are praying are asking for God/spirit to fix their problems instead of accepting responsibility for their own messes and figuring out how to overcome them. If we ask in a positive way, we will be offered solutions, and then it is up to us if we implement them or not.

Thanks for your continuing support, and I look forward to talking with you again soon 🙂
      Have a great day,
      Andrew
