Encouraging Motivational Quotes

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” – Dr. Seuss

What’s getting you down today? A common answer is ‘other people.’ They can be those who are closest to us or someone we don’t know well at all. Everyone seems to have an opinion about what we are doing…. And how we should be doing it – differently or better.

Well, you know what? They are free beings, just like we are. However, that doesn’t mean we should care about what they think, what they say, and do. WHAT WE CHOOSE TO DO AND HOW WE CHOOSE TO LIVE OUR LIVES IS REALLY NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS!

So, just be who you are and know that the really good people, the ones that actually love you, will always support you and stand together with you. The others who are just there to criticize and judge have issues of their own which they should go and sort out.

“A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.” – Franklin D. Roosevelt

We sometimes need friction in our lives to prompt or motivate, us to expand our potential. Not all critical voices are intended to be detrimental to our wellbeing. But we sometimes overreact and take everything to heart, and this can hurt our feelings. However, if we The journey of growth never endsdevelop ourselves to become EMOTIONALLY INTELLIGENT we can view all encounters as beneficial.

So, having just said (in the above quote) that we don’t need to care about the ‘other critical people,’ we should, at times also be grateful for some of them. They can provide a voice of experience that may prevent us from making similar mistakes, or introduce options/consequences into the equation that we had not considered.

Our lives are a journey from birth to death, and they are never going to be all smooth sailing. We do need some friction, some obstacles, and some contrast, to help build and shape our character and personalities. And when we overcome adversity in any way or form, we have better stories to tell!

“Why do we close our eyes when we pray, cry, dream, or kiss? Because we know that the most beautiful things in life are not seen, but felt by the heart.” – Anne Sullivan

This has to be one of my favorite revelations ever. I say revelation because this quote, to me, is divine truth. Feelings, matters of the heart, are what we are here to experience as human beings.

Unfortunately, far too many of us haven’t worked this out yet! Most people are still running around as ‘human doings.’ And while there is nothing wrong with occupying our time doing things in the pursuit of happiness and fulfillment, is not the quickest path to happiness.

Psychologists tell us that everything we do or pursue, we do because we expect that we will feel better by achieving it. And yes, the new car, bigger house, and the latest smartphone do make us feel better, TEMPORARILY! However, there will always be newer, bigger, and better models coming out that make ours look old and dull.

I’m not finished with this wonderful quote yet, but I want to add another one to it:

“Life is from the inside out. When you shift on the inside, life shifts on the outside.” – Kamal Ravikant

I enjoy living a comfortable life. This means I enjoy having stuff as much as the next person…… well maybe not that much! However, when our possessions become important to us, they begin to ‘possess us.’ We can become obsessed with them and treasure them more than we treasure our ‘feelings.’

For example, if we spend sleepless nights worrying that someone may scratch our new car, we have lost the plot. This leads to stress and eventually ill health. And not sleeping well will also affect our relationships and our productivity.

Instead, if we pursue ‘matters of the heart,’ we discover that we will find peace and rest easily. And when we are comfortable and content with our lives, everyone around us benefits from our pleasantness.

So, the questions then become: Where are my feelings coming from? And since we know our feelings are a result of the thoughts we have: What is stimulating me to be thinking these current thoughts?

If we are ‘human doings’ and living our lives without conscious attention, our thoughts and feelings are a result of our subconscious mind programs. We can be likened to a programmed robot that reacts and behaves in predictable ways.

However, if we are ‘human beings,’ we are more conscious of the moments in our days. And when we are conscious, we can actively participate ‘at the moment’ to make better decisions and create better outcomes for ourselves.

Being a conscious thinker means we can pause, reflect, and FEEL what the best options are. And if we follow our heart, we find that our life shifts on the inside…… and then will also shift on the outside.

“We avoid the things that we’re afraid of because we think there will be dire consequences if we confront them. But the truly dire consequences in our lives come from avoiding things that we need to learn about or discover.”Shakti Gawain

You know the thing that you have been putting off for ages now? Yes, the thing that you’re not doing because you are either afraid, don’t think you will succeed, or just don’t yet know how to do yet? Yes, that thing! Well, that’s the thing that RIGHT NOW you will benefit most from doing.

Our fears are just that. They are OUR fears. Other people don’t have the same fears, and right now many people are doing or have done what you are afraid of. AND, NOW THEY ARE NO LONGER AFRAID BECAUSE THEY REALIZED THEIR FEARS WERE UNJUSTIFIED!

Fear is a mind killer, a killer of dreams. Fear is the excuse we use to convince ourselves that we can’t achieve our goals. And instead of facing our fears, we settle for mediocre lives.

Not facing our fears destroys our spirit. We are in a physical body on this magnificent planet at this time to expand our potential! And this cannot happen when we ‘play small’ because of some BULLSHIT excuse we made up that we are unworthy or are afraid to chase our dreams.Manifesting.com free cheat sheet

We are here to have fun and to exceed our limits so we can thrive while living lives filled with joy and love. So, let me ask you this:

What would it FEEL LIKE, right now, if you had overcome your fear, taken action, and achieved your dreams? HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?

Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and feel it in your body. THIS FEELING is how you can be feeling every day in the future if you begin to take action NOW.

“Don’t allow your past or present condition to control you. It’s just a process that you’re going through to get you to the next level.” – T.D. Jakes

Last year, yesterday, or five minutes ago, you may have been afraid. Ok, so what?

Do you know what time it is now?

Now is a totally new moment…. We’ve never been here before!

It’s a luxury to LIVE CONSCIOUSLY in this moment knowing that we can be whoever we want to be. We don’t need to be that person from before who was afraid to follow our dreams. The past is gone, that was then and THIS IS NOW……

None of us ever expect to stay the same person throughout our lives. We all change in some ways, and some change a lot, while others change a little. How much we change depends on the choices we make- every moment of every day.

The best lives are a progressive learning experience. The happiest and most successful people know they can get closer to living their ideal lives each day. They are not bound to the past but have learned from it. They learned what they don’t want as well as what they do want. And they set their sail accordingly.

What about you? Which direction are you heading in…. Are you getting closer to fulfilling your dreams, or are you a victim of the unpredictable winds of life?

“It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.” Sir Edmond Hillary

Wealth creation is easy once you have reprogrammed your subconsciousI take my hat off to my fellow countryman, Sir Ed. He was a humble beekeeper in New Zealand. However, he had a dream to climb Mount Everest, so one day he did! He is recorded as the first man to reach the top of the highest mountain in the world.

Do you think he was weighed down by fear?

Do you think he let his past, his occupation, or his upbringing dissuade him from his dream?

No, he just got on with it. Sure there were many obstacles along his path, but he persisted until he succeeded. He knew that the biggest obstacles any of us face are the limits we put upon ourselves…. At times, we are our own worst enemies when it comes to achieving our goals and dreams.

“The only thing standing in the way between you and your goal is the BS story you keep telling yourself as to why you can’t achieve it.” – Jordan Belfort

I just said it, and I’ll say it again: we can be our own worst enemies when it comes to achieving our goals and dreams! We are the obstacle that is separating us from achieving all that we want. So…..

“It’s not what you do once in a while, it’s what you do day in and day out that makes the difference.” – Jenny Craig

So….. Why not make today the first day of the rest of your life, a life where your dreams do come true. If you take the first step towards what you want now, and then another step tomorrow, and then, again and again, you will build a momentum that will be unstoppable.Getting what we want feels great!

And the momentum will draw in cooperative components from all spheres of life to assist you to WIN! The Law of Attraction will ensure that you meet the right people, see the best opportunities, and encounter circumstances that will help you succeed.

Why? Because this is the nature of the reality we live in! Like attracts like. So, when you are seriously motivated to achieve something, you become a magnet to draw matching components and circumstances in. Isn’t it awesome to know that?

So, what should you do now?

“You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching, love like you’ll never be hurt, sing like there’s nobody listening, and live like its heaven on earth.” ― William W. Purkey

So get out there, do the things you want to do, and have a fantastic life!

Shared with love and respect for all souls playing the game of life,

Andrew

  1. This is a great idea! Even though the ideas are not your own, the collection of them in one place is great.
Some of them are sweet and soft and kind and mushy, while others just slap you in the face and get it out there!
I love the diversity in the collection,
    Thank you for sharing!

    1. Hi Chris,

Many thanks for taking the time to read my article.

I hope the ones that slapped you in the face gave you something to think about? If something confronts us like that, it normally means that there is a message in there that is relevant and important for us specifically! So it’s a good idea to spend a bit of time considering what feelings these quotes evoked within you, and also how you can use that information to make improvements to your own life.

      Have a great day, mate.
      All the best,
      Andrew

  2. We believe what you put in is what you will get out of life. If you are always angry and mad, you will deal with frustrating situations in life.
This article will help others deal with their emotions and stay away from the negative things in life. If you hang out with people who are always joyful about life, you might feel the same shift in your life.

    1. Many thanks guys for taking the time to read another one of my articles.

I don’t think any of us want to live angry lives. So why do people hang around in environments that contain a lot of anger.
It’s very evident, as you have said, that the choices we make affect the outcomes we receive.

So if we want to have happy and loving lives where we feel supported and uplifted, we need to be immersed in an environment that has these qualities… and we need to develop and share these qualities within ourselves. We must first become on the inside (our thoughts and feelings) what we want to experience as conditions in our outer lives.

Thanks for your time, and I wish you a happy and joy-filled day 🙂

  3. Hi Andrew, Another very inspiring post.

Quite enjoying your work so far I think I definitely feel more motivated as a result. Today the thing I think I would really like to think about is the things that I am subconsciously holding myself back from because there are things that I likely should be doing but I am not. Spending money I think is something I worry about. Rather than investing in my business, I hesitate to think about what might happen. I guess predicting the future would be nice but thinking about what you’ve said we all have our intuition towards certain things. Maybe these are more significant than we might ever choose to believe?

    1. Welcome back, Alex.

I’m happy my words are resonating with you.
You are not alone with your thoughts of worry and fear about the future. Most people on the planet are trying to come to terms with their subconscious programs that are holding them back from achieving their dreams.

And as I say quite often, awakening to our potential requires a process that is different from how we have been living before. It’s the journey of self discovery that is more important than the destination. I know we all want to be multi-millionaires RIGHT NOW, however, it’s unrealistic for ninety-nine percent of people who have this goal.
But the good news is that we can all achieve our goals if we become committed to following the process and do what is required.

I don’t think it’s helpful for us to keep analyzing the past, dwelling on it, and trying to figure out ‘where we went wrong.’ Instead, why not wake up every morning believing knowing that t’s a new day, and you have the opportunity to have a new mindset… so why not choose thoughts, feeling, and actions that support the life you want to be living in the future… In other words, you become FORWARD thinking and feeling. Do this because this is the life you want to be living, and this is the sure way to manifest it as your future reality.

To achieve this, you need to fall asleep in a very positive state of mind that imagines you are already the future self you wish to become… Then you will wake up feeling inspired and motivated to begin the new day.

Don’t be hard on yourself, mate. Learn to enjoy the process and the results you desire will begin turning up in expected and unexpected ways.

      Have a great day 🙂
      Andrew

  4. Amazing article, I like it so much! It is a real refreshment in times when dissatisfaction and negativity prevail.

The quotes are wonderful, they inspire the soul and make us look at life from a different angle. I enjoyed reading and the biggest impression on me was left by the quote -Why do we close our eyes when we pray, cry, dream, or kiss? Because we know that the most beautiful things in life are not seen, but felt by the heart, by Anne Sullivan. This is so true! Only the heart can feel and do the most beautiful things.

You have perfectly pointed out the fact that it is materially temporary and does not provide happiness.
Each quote is wonderfully explained and I’m sure it can reach people who are lost and need help. They are also your amazing books, which help us to find the essence of life. That is why what you are doing is very humane.

Keep spreading positivity and making people happy!
    Greetings! Danijela

    1. Thank you for your kind words, Danijela.

Times are tough now for so many people, and unfortunately, there seems to be no end in sight to the ongoing lockdowns, mask-wearing, and social distancing in some countries.
However, we don’t need to buy into the negativity and ‘fear mongering’ that are being forced upon us daily by the powers that be and the mainstream media. We still have sovereignty over our most important asset, and that is our minds.

And if we value ourselves, we will understand that the way we feel is very important. Therefore, we should be focusing the incredible power of our minds on creating an internal environment (our thoughts and feelings) to be the best they can possibly be at all times.
So what if we have a negative thought now and then. It doesn’t matter. Once we realize that we are feeling a little down, we can turn to anything, (including these quotes) to refocus our energies on creating a better feeling state for ourselves….. after all, who doesn’t want to be feeling great?

Thanks for your support, and I wish you a wonderful day, every day,
      With much love and respect
      Andrew
