So, we exist. We are here, currently reading this blog. How did we get here? Out of all the possible choices available to us at this very moment, we chose to be here.
You had a thought, this resulted in feelings and other associated thoughts, and then you engaged in an action that led you to read this article. This is the cycle of our lives. Thoughts, feelings, and actions, which give results, or outcomes, and the cycle repeats indefinitely. We are part of this process whether we are aware of it or not, whether we like it or not.
So, why not use it to our advantage? It is easier than you think to change your thoughts and change your life.

How to live a better life is something many of us think about. However, few follow up with the necessary study and even fewer move on to implement the actions required to help themselves live a better life. Why is that?
It’s easy and less challenging to remain the same, doing the same things, with the same people over and over again. This leads to a predictable and stagnant life. If you don’t progress with the addition of new skills or information/knowledge you will not develop, grow, progress, or advance forward in any meaningful way.
Since life is a journey and we have learned everything we currently know up to this point in our lives, we have proven to ourselves, beyond any doubt, that we are capable of learning vast amounts of information and skills. There was a time when we couldn’t even walk, couldn’t dress ourselves or even talk. Now we can do these things and so much more.
Want some tips for a better life? There is only two important things that you must always remember- Never stop learning, and then, implement what you learn. If you are learning the right things, you will be setting up the foundation for a better life.
Change your thoughts and change your life: Become mindful!
There is no point wanting a better life, there is no point hoping for a better life, and there is no point looking for a better life. If you don’t change yourself, your life will never change. You will be doomed to receiving more of the same content that you have in your current life! Is this what you want? Wanting and hoping demand no action from yourself, so nothing will change. Looking outside of yourself may improve your circumstances for a while. However, since you, yourself has not changed, you will soon attract to same circumstances back into your life that you had before.
You have to do something different to get a different life for yourself. This means taking action! Where to start? By being mindful of your thoughts. Your current thought patterns originate from your beliefs. If you are not happy with some aspects of your life, search out the predominant thought patterns you are having, and if they are not supportive of your future goals, begin to change them. Being mindful of current patterns is important because it is these thought patterns that the content of our lives is created.
Our thoughts tell us what is good or bad, to go left or right, to buy this product or that one, and who our friends should be. If we had different thoughts, we would choose different products, friends, direction, job, etc. So you can see how important our thoughts are. Why is it then that the average person is only consciously aware of five percent of their thoughts? The other ninety-five percent have the predominant influence in creating our lives. If you are not happy with your life, if life is hard, begin the task of reprogramming your subconscious mind with thought patterns that will support the direction you want your life to take.
Can I control my thoughts? Yes, you most definitely can!
At the moment, the programming in your subconscious mind is controlling the majority of your life. The foundation for a better life begins when you take control of your mind. Become mindful of more of your thoughts, more of the time, and overprint the thoughts that do not support you with thoughts that will help you in living the life you desire in the future. The results are not immediate, but this process is sure to generate the results you desire……. but only if you put in the effort to become aware of what is happening inside your mind!
The more relaxed you are with this process, the better your results will be. There is no need to stress out every time you catch yourself thinking un-supportive thoughts. Become relaxed with the process and realize that life is a journey, a journey where you are learning to be the creator of your own reality. Every time you catch yourself with a negative thought be happy that you now have the opportunity to override it with ten new thoughts that will support you! In time your subconscious will be over-run with awesome thoughts and your basic programming will be changed to create the life you desire.
There is only one person responsible for your life: It’s you!
It’s easy to blame circumstances on other people for the mess that our life may be in. However, it is our thoughts that have led us to the actions we have taken in the past, that have created the life we are currently living. Understanding this gives us the power to take control of our life as it currently is. Then once we assume responsibility for our self, we can empower our self to change the content and direction of our life.
Do you want more of the same, or are you desiring to reclaim your power as the creator of the content of your own life? Willingness is only the first step. Then action is required! Action is preceded by thoughts that support you. Start now by knowing that you are worthy of having all the good things in life that you desire. Start now by loving and respecting the person that you currently are- regardless of any perceived faults that you believe you have.
Self-respect is a necessary first step for generating self-supporting thoughts that will create your foundation for a better life!
