Secrets of The Millionaire Mind by T Harv Eker

Secrets-of-the-millionaire-mind-dollar-sign

I learned a lot from this book ‘secrets of the millionaire mind.’ And I am certain that if you are looking for a way to improve your own net worth and are willing to do what it takes, then you too will benefit from the insights that T Harv Eker provides in this short, easy-to-read guide to creating wealth.

This book is not a ‘get rich quick’ book, and in my opinion, any book that claims to be able to fast-track you to create abundant wealth is written by someone who does not understand the fundamentals of life.

I say this because if you are not currently wealthy, it is most likely because you were not raised with the same mindset or ‘blueprint,’ that wealthy people have. Read on to understand what I mean.

Secrets of The Millionaire Mind by T Harv Eker

What makes millionaires different from poor and middle-class people?

Millionaires have a different mindset from people who are not wealthy and because of this, even if they lost all of their money for some reason, they would easily be able to make it back again. This is because they have developed a mental road map that shows them how to achieve wealth. Once this road map is learned, it can be replicated many times for the benefit of creating as much wealth as is desired.

Knowing that the wealthy generate wealth because of their mindset and not luck or magic is very important for us because it means that if we copy their road map to wealth, we can achieve the same outcome in our life. This is the basis of what Harv teaches in this book, secrets of the millionaire mind.

If we are not currently wealthy it is most likely because we were not taught to think the same way that wealthy people think. Throughout the book, Harv lays out his formula for financial success based on what he has learned from wealthy people combined with what has worked for him.

Wealth DNA Code-Find out more buttonHarv then shares with us what he knows so that we too can learn how to turn our mindset into one that will generate any level of success that we desire to create in our lives.

The central theme or underlying principle is that we must break the pre-programmed limits we adopted from our parents/teachers/peers and others who have significant influence over our thoughts as we were growing up.

If we can identify and then change the negative things that we subconsciously came to believe regarding wealth and money when we were young, we can change our future to any one of our choosing.

Part One: Your Money Blueprint

In part one of the ‘Secrets of the millionaire mind’ book you will learn how you have the wealth, or lack of it, that you currently have due to your ‘money blueprint.’

Harv explains it with this formula: P leads to T, which is followed by F, followed by A, which equals R

Our programming (P) determines the thoughts we think (T) which leads to the feelings we have (F), which determines which Actions we will take (A), which will manifest as either positive or negative results in our lives (R).

Our money blueprint is therefore manifested because of our programming. Knowing this, it becomes evident that our subconscious beliefs about money, (our programming) is the most important factor here as it has influenced our thoughts, feelings, and actions throughout our lives to create the results that we are currently experiencing.

So where did we receive this all-important programming?

Reprogram.Me free wealth creation hypnosis audio track.Harv explains that there are three primary ways that we have been programmed to believe the things we currently believe.

  • We adopted the beliefs of others who had influence over us when we were young through listening to how they talked about money. Every time we heard phrases like ‘money doesn’t grow on trees,’ ‘rich people are greedy,’ and ‘money is the root of all evil,’ we were being programmed to think money is scarce and not a good thing to have. Harv says “All the statements you heard about money when you were young remain in your subconscious mind as part of the blueprint that is running your financial life”.
  • We also ‘model’ the behavior of those with influence over us. For example; we see them being thrifty, or not buying what they want or need, or ‘saving for a rainy day,’ etc. and subconsciously repeat these behaviors in our own lives.
  • Then we add to these specific incidents that had an impact on our psyche which may subconsciously influence our decisions. For example; can you remember if money was a source of joy in your family or the route of many arguments? These simple behaviors will have had a significant influence on what you believe about money today.

Part Two: The Wealth Files

This is where the action takes place! This is where Harv guides us to break free of our previous programming so we can consider the financial life that we want to be living and then go out and create it for ourselves.

He does this by teaching us 17 ‘wealth files’ that explain how rich people think and act and contrasts this with how the poor and middle class think and act. The big gap between these two ways of thinking and acting is what allows a few to accumulate wealth while the rest remain working for a living.

My favorite wealth files include:

Presence Power and Profit-8-laws-of-ultimate-influence-ebook
Download your free eBook now to learn how to get what you want!

#1: Rich people believe “I create my life.”
Poor people believe “Life happens to me.”

#5: Rich people focus on opportunities.
Poor people focus on obstacles.

#11: Rich people choose to get paid based on results.
Poor people choose to get paid based on time.

#15: Rich people have their money work hard for them.
Poor people work hard for their money.

#17: Rich people constantly learn and grow.
Poor people think they already know.

Each wealth file comes with some action steps that we can take to help cement this new knowledge into our subconscious mind so that we can begin seeing real results in the real world. Results will happen when we create the necessary shift in our current thinking patterns to propel us toward our goals.

However, we will only succeed if we take action! The choice is ours. We can either settle for a future based on what we are currently creating for ourselves, or we can change our mindset and begin to think like wealthy people think to create a more abundant future for ourselves.

It’s not easy to break through years of bad habits with regard to how we think about money, but it can, and is, being done by people like you right now, all over the world. So how badly do you want to change?

What are you willing to do to change the life you are currently living into the life you are currently only dreaming about?

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind is Life-Changing: Harv talks about a lot more than just Financial Success…

Midas Manifestation for wealth attractionAlthough Harv is talking about money most of the time, there is also a spiritual side to his teachings. Harv even goes as far as saying “the goal of creating wealth is to help you grow yourself into the best person you can possibly be.”

The same principles can be applied to all aspects of our lives. This includes our love, family, work, health, social, and spiritual aspects. All spheres of our being are governed by the same universal laws, and some of Harv’s wealth files utilize principles that are very similar to, if not the same as, the Law of Attraction which was brought to the attention of many in the book ‘The Secret’ by Rhonda Byrne.

The downside of T Harv Eker’s teaching: All of the information I have read or watched is good and I cannot fault his logic. However, Harv is over the top for my taste and into heavy self-promotion of himself and his products throughout the book and his other teaching materials. If you can look beyond this and remember why you wanted to read this kind of material in the first place, you will get information that will propel you toward success.

Secretes of the Millionaire Mind: My Conclusion

Harv’s message for all of us is clear. You can have all that you want if you are willing to put in the work to achieve it. The work begins by changing our money blueprint so that we will have beneficial thoughts regarding money, wealth, and abundance. This leads to feeling better about wanting to create wealth for ourselves, which leads us to take action to create the wealth we desire.

The results we achieve will reveal to us how successful we have been in upgrading our money blueprint to achieve the level of wealth we desire.

So, all it requires is our dedication to changing our thoughts and habits relating to money for us to achieve our dreams. Are you willing to be someone who succeeds, or are you just thinking about how good it would be to have extra money?

Your journey to creating the dream life you desire could begin right now by taking the first step and educating yourself on how millionaires create wealth by having a different mindset from poor and middle-class people.

T. Harv Eker believes that it is simple to create wealth. ‘If you think like rich people think and do what rich people do, chances are you’ll get rich too!’

I share this book review with you knowing that because it has made a big difference in my life, it will also be able to inspire you to achieve more of your dreams in a relatively short period of time.

  1. You could not be more right Andrew. Millionaires think differently from everyday people. They are always striving for more and constantly looking to better themselves. If they become poor again, they do fret, but they also realize they can get back to where they once were. It might be a struggle, but it can be done again and again.

I have a question. You raised a good point about Harv. He is a shameless self promoter. Would you say most of his wealth comes from self-promotion or has he actually done substantial things to get to where he is today? If I could know more about the background of the author, that would be wonderful. I look forward to reading your response.

Thank you for sharing and I hope you make it a great day!

    1. Hi Alex. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my article. Harv, like most wealthy people, does not give away all of their secrets. I, like you, am wondering where most of his money came from. Wikipedia says this: “As a young adult, Eker moved to the United States and started a series of over a dozen different companies before having success with an early retail fitness store. After reportedly making millions through a chain of fitness stores and subsequently losing his fortune through mismanagement, Eker started analyzing the relationships rich people have with their money and wealth, leading him to develop the theories he advances in his writing and speaking today.”
So, regardless of where most of his money comes from today, he did learn through personal business experience and also by analyzing successful people. His information is proven to work and is therefore valid to all of us who want to create wealth for ourselves.
I wish you well on your journey to wealth. Kind regards,
      Andrew

  4. Hello Andrew, I really didn’t read that book but if I must be ever convinced to buy it then this could be the best place, a very relevant, precise and to the point review. This is a fabulous site!

Secrets of the millionaire mind is a great place to start.

  5. I was thinking about reading this book, but now it looks like I don’t have to! Just kidding, but great summary and suggestions. Do you have any other book suggestions in the same vein of this one? Thanks!

    1. Hi Christian. Thanks for your comments. Yes, there are many good books available. Some of the best I have read include ‘Think and grow rich’ by Napoleon Hill, ‘Rich dad, poor dad’ by Robert T. Kiyosaki, ‘Awaken the Giant Within’ by Tony Robbins and ‘The Power of Positive Thinking’ by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale. That should be enough to get yu started. Many thanks,
      Andrew

  6. Hi Andrew,

About the only reviews that I usually read are those in the back cover of whatever book I may be considering.

So this is really believe it or not the first time I’ve actually read a real full blown book review. And I am not disappointed. You have done a very thorough job of relaying Harv’s message.

Our ways of thinking are in large part responsible for our level of success, I do agree with Harv on that… But there are other elements and variables that also come into the mix, these are always fact specific and can be good or bad. I have to agree with wealth file #17 completely.

As far as “money is the root of all evil,” I’ve never heard it that way before…

“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.” I Timothy 6:10. Money per se is not evil. Indeed, many of the God-loving, God fearing men from Biblical times were quite rich (King David, Solomon, Job to name a few). So I disagree with Harv on this.

    Overall great review!

    1. Hi Christie. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my review. Just to clarify, it was not Harv or myself that said ‘money is the root of all evil.’ I was merly saying that this is the belief that some children acquire from their peers as they are growing up, and anyone that adopts this belief will be very very unlikely to acquire any substantial wealth. Both Harv and I think money is a wonderful tool to have for the many positive things that we can do with it. Kind regards,
      Andrew

  7. I love reading books and this one seems to be a must read. I totally agree about the mind-set and beliefs that people have. It either makes them or breaks them.Good post and well-written .

  8. Great review. I have never read this book, but it sounds like a worthwhile read. I appreciate the negatives that you point out about his own self promotion. Now when I read the book, I already will know it is coming and realize there is plenty of great information available besides his own selling. I will have to agree, I believe that wealthy people could loss everything and remake themselves again all over. I know of several wealthy people that at one point filed bankrupcy. They obviously know what they are doing to be able to recreate themselves. Now it is time for the rest of us to learn from them. Thank you, I will take a look at this book.

    1. Hi Marla. Thanks for taking the time to read my article. Harv says in his book that to become a millionaire is easy. All we have to do is think and act like time. Obviously, your friends understood this very well and were not afraid of going bankrupt. I wish you well on your journey to abundance. Kind regards,
      Andrew

  9. HI Andrew,
Excellent review. I read this book about a year back and it was a big gamer changer for me in terms of how I thought of wealth. Your review reminded me a lot of the things I forgot from the book. After reading this, I’m honestly about to go dig it out and read it again. It was that good. I also agree with you on Eker being a bit over the top but after buying a few of his books and watching his webinars, I truly do believe his heart is in the right place and he wants to help. Thanks again.

    1. Hi Dan. Thanks for your comments. I also think that Harv has a good heart and his intentions are honorable. However, the hard sell does get a bit much at times. The information is worth digging for as you mentioned, as it is a game changer for so many people. This is the best book I have read on wealth creation, or maybe I was just finally ready to receive the message of how to change my life. Thanks for sharing mate. Cheers,
      Andrew

  10. Hey Andrew, ooohh this is a big one. I love this book, too. And your review of it makes it even more worthwhile to me. What’s actually best about your approach is this little but so powerful conclusion you added. I think you’re right with everything you mentioned.

    1. Hi Veit. Thanks for taking the time to read my review. I know this book has inspired many people to their mindset in the pursuit of abundance, and it has worked for them. I’m quite certain it can work for anyone who is willing to put in the time and effort to implement the ideas that Harv recommends. Kind regards,
      Andrew

  11. I’ll have to check out this book. I have learned a lot of these principles from John Assaraf’s Winning the Game of Money course. It is very empowering and a different way to think.

    1. Hi Melinda. It seems that there is always more to learn, so reading another book even if it is similar can always benefit us. However, it is the assimilation of the knowledge into our daily lives that will return us the results that we desire. I wish you luck in your quest for abundance. Kind regards,
      Andrew
