From birth, many of us were programmed to accept a regular, mundane, limited, and often boring life. This life often contains just enough ‘fun’ for the average person to enjoy themselves, occasionally- (when they are not making money working at a job that they are not passionate about, just to pay the ever-increasing taxes and bills!) Unfortunately, we were never taught how to live a satisfying life.
A minority of people have no fun, no joy, and little happiness in their lifetime, and there are others who live for adventure, joy, and excitement, and are in love with the idea of being alive. They choose to participate in life to the full extent of their abilities….. So what makes our lives so different? Is it the circumstances we were born into, our genes, our learned responses and behaviors, personal choice, or maybe a combination of the above?
What is the Main Factor to Consider When Wanting to ‘Live a Satisfying Life?’
Doctor Bruce Lipton has proven that it is ‘Epigenetics’ that has the biggest influence on the content of our lives. To put it another way, Epigenetics is responsible for our level of satisfaction with our current lives. Epigenetics put simply, means “those influences that come from outside of the cell and are not related to our genetic makeup.” For example, geneticists have proven that 95% of all cancers are a result of environmental factors, not our inherited genes. This means that the majority of the time, it is the way we choose to live that determines the outcomes in our lives. This relates to our health, wealth, intelligence, and overall wellbeing.
So, by knowing that the ‘environment’ we immerse ourselves in has the biggest influence in creating our current lives, we can also come to understand how we are able to change our lives for the better….. if we wish to.
The biggest environmental factor that has the most influence in shaping our lives is how we were programmed in our early years, from birth until the age of seven. During this time, our minds were like a sponge, and just accepted the programming given to us by our families, teachers, the TV, and other media that we were exposed to. It was here that we learned the predominant beliefs we hold that are often still driving the current content of our lives.
The challenge for us, as individuals, if we want to receive, and achieve, more with our lives than we currently are, is to grow beyond the limiting programs that we accepted as our reality at that time that still restrict our present-day potential.
Our lives are not meant to be organized and restricted to live within certain narrowly defined parameters.
Many people have managed to break away from this controlled life, and you can too if you want to! These people are the ones who live with abundance, joy, and excitement as a normal daily experience. For them, getting stuck into a routine, being bored, and not knowing what to do next is inconceivable!
Life is full of potential, full of opportunities for love, fun, and joy, each and every day and it is up to us how much we receive! If you are not currently satisfied with aspects of your life, please continue to read this article, as below I have listed a few ideas that you can adopt into your own life to help you immediately start having a more fulfilling, more rewarding, more satisfying, and more enjoyable life.
Life is meant to be a fun adventure for our souls.
We are here to have fun and learn! Our soul desires continued growth and expansion and being in this physical body at this time on earth can certainly be an adventure worth living. When we are conforming to the consensus reality it is like being in a jail cell for our soul and it wears us down mentally, physically, and emotionally.
However, once we learn not to be confined by ‘what is expected of us’ and we begin to follow our hearts and our passions, then we can really begin to live the adventure that we came here to experience!
So, without hesitation, let your journey to a better life experience begin today. By adopting some of the thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors listed below, you are certain to begin to look at your life differently, and you are certain to be able to enjoy more of the moments each and every day!
1) It’s Important that You Make Peace With Yourself and Your Current Situation
Life is a journey…. You will never ever run out of things to learn and experience. There will be times when everything falls into place and there will be times when things are not working out for you. So what???? It never, never, never benefits us to beat ourselves up over what we consider our failures or what we did wrong!
You need to know that there are no mistakes in life and you have never done anything wrong in your whole life! Everything that is a part of your life, that which you are happy about and that which you are not happy about, is a part of your life here and now! Accept it, learn from it and put your attention where it belongs- Focus on creating the future that you want to be living. What you may consider the good and the bad are both opportunities to learn more about yourself, that’s all.
To do this you need to accept your past, without judgment and without regret, and begin walking down the path that will get you to where you want to be. Know that this road will never end (and why would we ever want an exciting journey to end!) because if you are enthusiastic about life, you will always find more to learn and more fun things to experience until the day you pass over.
Learn to trust yourself: Have faith or belief in your own abilities because the truth is that YOU ARE more powerful than you can begin to imagine.
Never be afraid to spend time alone…. It is while we are silent that we can hear our soul whispering to us, guiding us along the path of least resistance to achieving all our dreams.
Finding peace within allows you to create with clear intention. You can then give your attention to the important things in life, like cultivating lasting, meaningful, and supportive relationships, living in the moment with attention to detail, and getting to know and understand yourself and what it is that you want for this lifetime.
“We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.” – Dalai Lama
2) Time is Precious, and the Only Time We Have is NOW!
We all have exactly the same amount of minutes to use every day. How we choose to use them will determine the content of our life!
Time is something that we cannot ever get back, so don’t ever waste it by engaging in mind-numbing habits that don’t help you achieve your goals. There are always many options available to us at all times, so choose ones that help propel you forward toward your goals and dreams.
We can only ever live in the present moment, so use this moment to your advantage. Set your goals to create the ideal you- living in an ideal future. Begin working on them NOW. Tomorrow never comes, so use your time today wisely, have some fun and do the things that you are passionate about. This will ensure that you get the future you desire for yourself.
“Time equals life; therefore, waste your time and waste of your life,
or master your time and master your life.” – Alan Lakein
3) Love Unconditionally and Love Often
- Respect and love yourself unconditionally, your body, mind, emotions, and soul.
- Fall in love with yourself first, then others, and then everything else that exists. This way you will be eternally happy and healthy.
- Look after yourself, others, and the environment as if your life depends on it… because it does!
- Love, hugs, and laughter are healing for mind, body, and soul so get and give as many as you can.
- Love, joy, and happiness are better when shared. Receiving and giving love is essential to living a satisfying and fulfilling life. If you are currently single, love yourself, love your family and friends, love your pets, trees, the beach, and the ever-changing sky. There is always so much to love about life each and every day.
What new things can you think of to fall in love with right now?
“Life without love is like a tree without blossom and fruit” – Kahlil Gibran
4) Everything Changes and CHANGE IS FOR OUR BENEFIT!
Embrace change as a normal part of life, because in truth, everything is in a constant state of change. Nothing remains static forever.
Choose to have fun each and every day. Your soul is here for an awesome adventure! Give it what it wants. Life was never intended to be boring and repetitive.
Try new foods, roads, travel, sports, and languages, and make new friends often. This is how you grow and develop to become ‘experience-rich.’ This is why you are here on earth in this body at this time.
Let go of your boring routines and seek out stuff to make your heart sing and body dance for joy!!!!! Why wouldn’t you do things that bring you joy…… make a commitment to yourself here and now to enjoy more of your life in new, fun, and exhilarating ways every day!
5) On Relationships
Choose your friends wisely. People you surround yourself with have an influence over you. Choose to hang out with people who support and inspire you to achieve more than you are, and your life will be one of growth and fulfillment. And never be afraid to get more friends to help you move forward in other aspects of your life.
Do not live your life to make others happy. Other people (parents, partners, bosses, etc.) are either happy or unhappy based on the choices they make and the thoughts they have. This is their choice. We will only find short-term happiness if we are living our lives to make others happy- unless it is consistent with our higher goals for ourselves. Our happiness should not be dependent on what others do or say or think about us. Our happiness is an internal state of feeling that we can develop by thinking happy thoughts and doing things that bring us joy, and it should be a priority for us!
6) Follow the Beat of Your Own Drum
Don’t restrict yourself because of what other people say you should and shouldn’t do. Follow your heart and if you are passionate about your goals, you will achieve them. Maybe not the first time, but if your goals are important to you and they serve your best interests, you will succeed.
Always do the best you can when working for or helping others. Treat every job as if you were doing it for yourself and you will find satisfaction in all that you do.
Don’t take yourself too seriously. This just leads to judgment. Lighten up and learn to laugh more often!
Don’t worry about what others think about you. They are reacting based on their programmed beliefs which have nothing to do with you. To them, the world is all about them. You are here to live your life in a way that is satisfying for you!
If you believe that you only have one life, don’t spend 25% of it in an office doing something that you are not passionate about……. Go out and do something that brings you joy, laugh so much that it brings tears to your eyes, and fall in love with something new…. A person, an idea, a scene, or an event… it doesn’t matter what it is. Love is worth it, go and find it, search for it always, and never ever just settle for one love. You can love one person but also love nature, love a cat, love a book, a movie, or a concert…….
7) Become Aware of Your Thoughts MORE OFTEN
Your thoughts create your reality. Your thoughts determine how you react and subsequently interact with all that is happening around you. Become mindful of your thoughts and replace the ones that are not helping you to achieve your dreams with thoughts that will rewire your mind to create new beliefs that will give you the quality of life that you desire for yourself.
Your words have power, and once spoken can never be taken back.
Use your words wisely, to uplift others and inspire love, peace, success, and joy wherever you go. In this way, the energy around you is always positive. The alternative that many choose, without thought, is to create disharmony in the very environments in which they live and interact. Begin now to choose more wisely for your benefit and for the benefit of all life that surrounds you.
Look at those who have programmed you about how to live. Are they living the life of their dreams or a life that you want to copy for yourself? If not, reprogram your beliefs by changing your thoughts and taking action so that your new thoughts and actions will lead you to live the life you desire for yourself.
If you think you know it all, you are just closed-minded and ignorant of many possibilities that you do not yet understand. Be open-minded, and listen more than you talk. You will learn more about life if you hang out with people more experience-rich than you!
Learn to meditate and take up regular practice. Meditation and mindfulness help you to become aware of your thoughts, and since it is your often repeated thoughts that create your beliefs about life, it is important to know what you have been programmed to think.
Always be positive! There is always something good to be found in any situation. Always look for the stuff that will uplift your energy and when you are feeling good you will help others around you to also feel better
“Very little is needed to make a happy life;
it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking.” – Marcus Aurelius
8) Accept Responsibility for Your Life and All You Achieve
Don’t blame others for your circumstances. Feeling like a victim doesn’t get you to where you want to go. You have to become the conscious creator of circumstances in your life to achieve the life you desire. We are all in the perfect situation in our life at this time according to the subconscious beliefs we hold about life. If you want more friends, become a better friend yourself. If you want more money, address your beliefs and thoughts of lack and scarcity and money will begin to flow your way….. We reap what we sow! This is the Law of Attraction at work in our life.
Everything you do has consequences. Become aware of how your actions affect you and others and be prepared to accept responsibility for them. Be accountable and in this way, you will begin to choose only those actions that benefit you and also the wider environment of which you are an integral and important part. Only act for the greater good of yourself and others concerned.
Your life deserves your full attention….your life is the most precious thing in this world to you as your body, mind, emotions, and soul are providing your total perception of all that exists. Look after yourself first and everything else will fall into place.
Sleep well, eat healthy foods rich in vitality, and exercise so your body and mind stay sharp and can focus to achieve your goals!
9) TAKE ACTION: Because You Get Nothing When You Do Nothing!
Pursue self-development by learning new things all the time. Never just exist and accept what life throws at you. Use your time wisely and to your personal advantage by learning more and developing new skills which you are passionate about. Instead of just existing, make your life an adventure worth living.
Be present at all times and if you fall, get up and try again and again until you get to where you want to go.
Become fearless. Approach life with joy and love instead of fear and uncertainty. Know that you were born to have a great life and experience awesome stuff.
Don’t be afraid to try new things, ask questions, or get on a plane to seek out the next adventure.
Begin doing the things you need to do now so that your dreams will be realized at some point in the future. New realities do not manifest immediately and you need to do the required groundwork to put everything in place first before you receive the outcomes you desire.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the
things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
Mark Twain
10) It NEVER Helps to Judge Ourselves or Others!
Judgments against others just show how little you understand life. Be compassionate, kind, and tolerant of those that are not like you. They have their own collection of hurdles to overcome that are different from yours.
It helps to realize that other people are doing the best they can. They are being the person they have been programmed to be, and the majority of them do not understand that they are following a program, and very few of them realize that it is within them to change the program any time they want.
Be compassionate for others who are arguing for their limitations, but do not buy into, or even agree with, their logic. It does not serve your highest good to place any limits on yourself and what you are able to achieve in this lifetime. Love and support the role that they are playing in your life as they are teaching you more about what you want to create for yourself and also what you don’t want in your life.
Let go of the idea that you know better than others. Have you had all of their experiences? How can you truly know what they have been through or what they are thinking?
Live your life. Nobody else’s life is your business. Never compare yourself with others…. You are not them and they are not you. You are unique in this whole world and as such should strive to fully develop your own potential, just because you can! Why wouldn’t you give yourself the best possible life experience that you can imagine?
“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” – Oscar Wilde
11) The Pursuit of Money
Money is important in the respect that having some allows you to pursue many opportunities that you can’t have without it. Plane tickets cost money as does going to your favorite concert or purchasing the latest tech or clothes that you want. The pursuit of money is enjoyable when you are doing something that you are passionate about. Learn how to program your mind so you can have as much as you desire.
If you work for wages, you will always be working for money. The rich of this world teach their kids to make money work for them. Work towards setting up several passive forms of income and then you will still be making money even when you are on vacation or asleep. This may mean forgoing short-term gratification and making investments that will pay off big time over time.
The most important things in life include relationships, health, wisdom, self-confidence, and the ability to grow and learn. Having the latest iPhone, the best car, and awesome fashion are things that change often and just keep you working to buy them. Do you really want to spend your time, your health, and energy to get these ‘cool’ things and then not have friends, time, and energy to enjoy them?
12) Cultivate a FEELING of GRATITUDE For ALL You Have and ALL That Exists
Make it a ritual to wake up every morning and express gratitude for the new day, for all that you have, and for all the wonderful opportunities that are waiting for you. Today is a new beginning and today you can steer yourself even closer to achieving all of your dreams.
Be grateful for all that you already have. In this way, you will take better care of your friends, family, and other stuff. By enjoying what you already have you will waste less energy seeking other stuff.
So, to sum up:
Don’t just keep reacting to life! Instead, proactively create the life that you desire for yourself.
Your life is in your hands. Embrace it, and make it awesome! The choice is yours.
Shared with love and respect for all souls in the hope of making the world a better place for all life, one soul at a time,
Andrew
Yeah, lots of points very well made in this post. It’s definitely important to live in the moment by accepting the past. Often times we get too caught up with what hasn’t happened yet or what has already occurred. It’s good to learn from the past though not dwell on it to the point where you miss out on what’s happening in the present.
Hi Jovan. Our thoughts are the power that creates our reality, so it is important to only have thoughts that help us to achieve our goals in life. Any thought that does not serve that which we want is a thought that takes us further away from our dreams. So if we are serious about creating the life we say we want, we need to focus all of our mental energy in the direction of our desires. In this way, we will achieve a happy and fulfilling life.
Cheers mate.
Dear Andrew,
Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and thoughts with us. We all want different things in our lives, such as a beautiful house, a fancy car, dream vacations, a fulfilling relationship, etc., when in the end, we are just striving for one thing: happiness. We desire these mentioned things because of the one burning wish within us – to be contented.
What we don’t realize is that we don’t require the materialistic things in order to be blissful. True happiness starts within ourselves, and can only be obtained by reaching the highest level of inner peace, just as you’ve mentioned it above.
It all begins with forgiveness. Forgive yourself and others and let go.
Do you know what helped me to learn to forgive? The Ho Oponopono prayer. I pray and meditate over it twice a day 108 times each. It’s been working miracles for me ever since and I have acquired a beautiful sense of calmness within my soul. Once you’ve been able to forgive and set the past free, you will be able to experience this marvelous feeling, too.
Your post, here, has given me a very refreshing start in the day. Nothing better than reading something uplifting and educational first thing in the morning, and I’m extremely grateful to you for so kindly providing all this insight.
I’m sending you many blessings, much happiness, harmony, and love.
Sincerely,
Alexandra
Hi Alexandra.
Many thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my post. I am always inspired by insightful comments such as yours. There is nothing better than hearing about the joy and success other travelers are having on this journey through life. We are truly blessed to be living in these amazing bodies on this wonderful planet where there is so much to experience.
Unfortunately, so many people have forgotten that we are here to have fun and grow ‘experience rich.’ You are right that they are seeking contentment in the wrong places. Contentment is a state of being and as such cannot be found through consumption of external ‘stuff.’
Inner peace is where all of the solutions to our ‘problems’ lie and there are many paths to help us attain inner peace and contentment and I am happy to hear about Ho Oponopono again. This prayer has helped me and my friends as well, and I am happy to hear that it is helping you attain your goal of inner peace.
Together, our prayers will uplift our individual vibrations and have a positive effect on all of humanity and all life that exists everywhere.
It is with much love, respect, and appreciation that I am grateful for your presence in this game of life at this time.
Andrew 🙂
This is a great article with some fantastic ideas. I totally agree with taking responsibility for our own lives and all we do, being accountable for our own decisions and not playing the victim is crucial in living a happy and fulfilled life.
I also like the fact that you mention not judging others or ourselves, we and others are doing the very best we can to live our best lives.
I am always working at achieving total health and wellness in my life, I think for the majority of us it’s a work in progress.
Great Article,
Thanks for sharing
Hi Tracy. I have to agree with you that for nearly everyone alive, achieving wellness and health is a work in progress. And that is absolutely fine! After all, life is a journey and it would not be a very fun and exciting journey if we reached our destination too quickly and easily. We need the challenges to help us grow, and as each of us overcome our obstacles, we add to the increased potential of what it is to be human.
Life is meant to be fun and exciting, and whether we consider it to be so is a choice each of us makes many times each and every day. Even though we may be up against some difficult stuff, we can still view it from the perspective of our soul, which revels in the opportunity to experience personal growth and development by facing and overcoming any and all that is put before us.
I wish you well on your journey. With love and respect,
Andrew
Dear Andrew, There are so many beautiful things to continue or add to life as you said. With one word this is an amazing post! A good point at the start: Dare to dream big. You have such good advice for people. It is nice to say: “Be in love with the idea of being alive.” That gives everybody the possibility to be happy 🙂
Thanks also for reminding me that thoughts have so much power and we ourselves are responsible for the quality of our own life.
You mention so many areas in life that we can make improvements for our own wellbeing. When you say: “The other person is being the person they have been programmed to be,” it makes me realize that we can forgive each other for our faults.
Your guidelines for life are wise, for example: be present, became fearless. These points are so important to make our conditions lighter than before. It is easier to forgive when you understand these things.
Thanks a lot for this post! Your thoughts are so demonstrative and practical that I will come back to your site to get more from it. It gives me so much more in my life. I love your thoughts 🙂 All the best to you.
Eija
Hi Eija. Many thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my post. I am very happy that you have found some of my words inspiring and that they can help lead you to live the life that you desire for yourself.
If we all ‘fell in love with the idea of being alive,’ imagine how this would change the world in an instant! People, everywhere, would be happy and excited. All war, violence, mental anguish, to name a few things, will cease to be. We would truly be living in paradise on Earth. Let’s help to make this a reality, one soul at a time. I’m happy that it’s now your turn to let more happiness, joy, and love into your daily life. With love and respect,
Andrew
Wow! You have so much great advice packed into this post. Loving ourselves is key and it will greatly enhance all of our relationships as long as we continue to.
Do you have any advice for people who want to seek out new friends who are more positive and supportive? Or do you think that becoming more positive will naturally attract people with a higher vibration to us?? It can be hard to break away from the negative people. Any suggestions are appreciated!
Hi Irma. We are who we are, and from this point of vibration, we attract people of a similar vibration to us. I think that there are two ways you can attract people with a more positive vibration into your life.
1) You can, as you mentioned, first become more positive yourself and as your vibration changes, you will naturally attract people that match your new state of positivity. This means consciously working on your thoughts, at all times, to actively create more uplifting beliefs and feelings for yourself. This will raise your vibration as you yourself become a better person.
2) Seek out and begin to associate with more people that you wish to be like in the future. You may need to hold your tongue, so you don’t let your negative attitude out too often. We have been given two ears to listen, so use them to learn what these people believe about life and let yourself be immersed in, and accept this higher vibration. With time, your own vibration will rise to the level of the new people that you hang out with.
A combination of both methods is the fastest way to get to where you want to go. However, if you are going home to friends and family that are not of the positive and supportive vibration that you wish for yourself, your road to a better life will be made all that more difficult.
Instead of blaming others for ‘holding you back,’ if you can accept them for who they are and just allow yourself to feel good at all times regardless of your circumstances you will achieve your goal!
I wish you all the best on your journey and hope that you are able to achieve the higher vibration that you desire for yourself.
Very well said Andrew, thank you for opening minds that have frozen in comfort zones most of the time.
Dan Lok says if your life sucks it is actually you that suck at making it better. Get up and create the change!
You are right the past set the pace and pattern, we have to break loose from and set our lives on fire.
The only thing I might disagree with is … to make peace with your situation as it is, you have a very gentle take on it.
I might have misinterpreted your meaning, but my philosophy is …..
When I realize I am not happy where I am in life, as they say … come hell or high water, I will move heaven and earth to change it for the better. Failures will make me grow only if I take action.
I appreciate the fact that you tend to all aspects of life and give so much valuable advice,
You made me aware of many things one sometimes misses.
Waking up tomorrow with a new perspective!
Stella
Hi Stella. Thanks for adding your wisdom to my post. Yes, I have a gentle take on life as I believe that we never gain anything by beating up on ourselves.
When I talk about ‘making peace with your situation,’ I am meaning to accept things as they currently are, as the reality is that we do not have the power to change what already exists. And from this point of understanding and acceptance, if we are not happy we should absolutely go for it by making changes that will ensure our future is better than our today. I think we are in total agreement with that! The present moment is the only time that we are able to do anything and if we can learn from how we got here, we can certainly also learn how to get to a better future for ourselves.
Many thanks for sharing. Kind regards,
Andrew
Andrew, I thought so, I misunderstood you. Thank you for putting it in perspective, I agree with your statement!
There might be a bit of anger in me because I made the wrong choices somewhere along the line and are anxious to correct it, but time is a factor.
I understand exact;y what you mean. Thank you for making me realize and I will go easy on myself now … lol
Thanx for the lesson I can learn.
Stella
Hi Stella. Life is a journey and it is the steps along the way that are our teacher. The journey never ends, so you will never reach a destination that you are 100% satisfied with while living in a body on this Earth. I believe that even when we reach enlightenment (Christ-consciousness or Buddha-hood) that there are still layers and layers of evolvement to enjoy beyond. So the best way to behave is to enjoy every step along the journey that we choose for our own learning.
If you are struggling with anything, you are walking a path that is more difficult than it needs to be.
Giving up or overcoming the struggle does not require anything more than for you to ‘change your mind.’ Our perceptions of life, the right and wrong, the good and bad, etc. are nothing more than thoughts that we use to give meanings to situations and events that we encounter. So when you say ‘I made the wrong choices somewhere along the line,’ you are judging yourself rather harshly and punishing yourself (accumulating dis-ease- physically, mentally, and emotionally) for events which you cannot change (because they already happened in your past.)
Instead of continuing to do this, I would suggest that starting today, you may like to try a different approach, one that will actually support your overall wellbeing and eventually bring you peace as you accept and ‘get over’ your past. (Remember you can’t change it, and every bit of your past has happened and contributed to this wonderful woman that you have become.)
Ready…… just let it go….. get over the need to beat yourself up as this is counterproductive to your present wellbeing and progression to a future happy life!
You need to know that you have never made a mistake in your life. You have, however, learned some things and acted in some ways that you will choose not to repeat. That’s great, don’t do them again! Instead, keep moving towards the things that bring you joy, happiness, peace, and satisfaction……. Remember, it is the journey that is important, so enjoy as much as you can, each and every day.
We all have the ability to choose at all times, regardless of current events or past events. Be happy or be sad, get angry or let it go, stay stuck in the past or look forward to the future….. the list is endless. What distinguishes content and happy people from those unhappy and suffering are simply what they are choosing to think, and how they are choosing to act, at any given moment. It is all of these moments that add up to a wonderful life or a life full of pain and regret.
All of us can choose, now, at this moment, to begin a better life for ourselves by letting go of all judgments we hold against ourselves and loving ourselves unconditionally for all of the experiences we have had, as they have all combined to make us into the wonderful, aware people that we currently are!
Love yourself and a love of all life in its entirety is guaranteed!
I hope this rant helps you in some small or large way!
With love and respect for who you are as a person and as an eternal soul,
Andrew
I totally agree with Fran, there’s always something people can blame for them not being happy. One I hear a lot is not being successful. I believe it’s all a grind to get to where you want to be in life, everything takes blood sweat and tears, especially if you grew up from nothing. I find myself working very hard week in and week out, and what I’ve come to realize is without balance, I get tired easily and lose that drive. I stopped going to the gym, didn’t socialize enough, balanced meals. I even wasn’t spending much time with my girlfriend, it wasn’t good. But I’m glad I’ve learned now the next step in my life, thanks for a great uplifting post!
Hi Nate. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my post. I am happy that you were able to get something of value out of my post and I hope you will always remember to try and keep your life balanced. I wish you all the best.
Andrew
Thank you Andrew, some very wise words indeed.
I often hear people complaining about their lives – their job, their lack of money, their unhappy relationship. And it’s always someone else’s fault. There is always the blame factor attached to everything. I think these people are what I call ‘react-ers’ Instead of ‘act-ers’.
As Henry Ford once said ‘whether you think you can, or think you can’t – you’re right!’
We need more positive reinforcement like this post in our lives!
Hi Fran. Thanks for your input. Becoming an ‘acter’ is the only way to take control of your own life so is a very important goal to achieve. Reacting only serves to keep us victims of what other people think and feel. I wish you all the best,
Andrew
