Don’t expect to receive a miracle cure for your ailments or shortcomings after reading these words, because the reality is that unless you, personally, make changes with regard to your typical thoughts and habits, nothing of significance will ever change in your life.
If, however, you are at a point in your life where you are willing to accept responsibility for your current circumstances and state of well-being and want to improve them, then you will find solutions here. But, these solutions will only work if you are willing to:
- Decide what you want your future to be like,
- Consciously focus on it,
- Take the necessary steps to get there.
Simple really! However, effort is required, and the more time you spend RIGHT NOW IN THIS MOMENT, the sooner you WILL be living the life of your dreams.
You are here because you want to have more of the ‘GOOD’ stuff that you currently only dream about, right?
Okay, read on to learn how you can begin creating a better life for yourself.
Expecting others to conform to our desires is not the answer
Before we begin, you need to understand that you are not here to control circumstances, events, or other people. This is not, and has never been your job! Other people and the things they do are their business.
If you think that you need to control stuff outside of yourself to improve your life, then you are always going to be disappointed. You will still be left feeling vulnerable when others are behaving in ways that you do not approve of, or circumstances are not as you wish them to be. Even if you manage to change one person or one thing to meet your approval, there will always be something else that pops up that you do not approve of, and so on. While changing other people, events or circumstances can bring short-term satisfaction for us; it is not a solution that gives us long-term peace, stability, or contentment.
The reality is that the rest of the world is never going to change to conform to what we want! And why should they? No one else is responsible for giving us everything that we say we want and then making sure we are happy when we get it. They are too busy trying to sort out their own issues/problems to be concerned about us.
Therefore, if we want to live the life of our dreams, we have to create it for ourselves. This requires us to understand how we think and act/react and then change ourselves so that we can always find happiness and abundance in the world as it is because the world is not going to change just to make us happy!
Nothing Ever Happens By Chance!
Our current life IS a result of ALL the thoughts WE have ever had and ALL the actions WE have ever taken.
It is WE alone who have created our present life, by attracting to us (Law of Attraction) all circumstances, events, and people that make up our experience. Therefore, it is ‘our self’ that needs to change what we are attracting/creating for ourselves if we are in any way dissatisfied with our current circumstances.
With that is mind, I want to share with you how you can change your responses to life’s events, people, and circumstances in a way that WILL achieve improved outcomes for yourself, which WILL translate into a better life experience for you, meaning improved health, more abundance, better relationships, etc.…….
But first:
How do we measure a “better” life experience?
We are all unique and have different opinions about what we want to achieve and to complicate things further, our views change as we go through various stages of life.
When young, we may want to achieve good results at school, so we can get a good job and make a decent income. Then we may look for a suitable partner, raise a family, and find a good environment to live in. As we age, we may want to find activities to occupy our time, etc.
All these things are great, and all add up to what life as a human is all about. However, most of us spend the vast majority of our time focusing on being a ‘human doing,’ and that leaves little time to ponder the truth of what it means to be a ‘human being.’ Our time and efforts are spent on achieving ‘stuff’ in the world that is ‘outside’ of our skin, so to speak.
It is this ‘external world’ that others can easily see, and so we are measured and judged, by ourselves and others, according to many criteria. How we look, what car we drive, where we live, what job we do, political affiliations, religious groups we belong to, and numerous other visible determinants come to define “who we are.”
Unfortunately, most of us are not taught how to create effective changes in our external world. We have learned that if we have problems, then we must look for solutions in the world outside of us.
For example: If I’m not happy because of what someone else is doing, then they need to change their behavior to make me happy, or my lack of wealth is because I am not paid enough for what I do. However, looking outside of ourselves to remedy our ailments or perceived issues is never going to solve our problems. This is simply because our outer world is a reflection of our inner world.
It is Your ‘Inner World’ of Thoughts and Feelings that is Responsible for Your Current Circumstances.
For real and lasting solutions to achieving everything that we want, we must go within. Our ‘internal world’ is where all the magic happens that translates into the results we are currently living as our life circumstances.
Our inner world is made up of our thoughts and feelings, and these are directly accountable for all that we do in the visible world and are, therefore, totally responsible for All the life experiences we are living.
It’s not the amount of money we have, the type of car we drive, the size of the house we own, or any other circumstance outside of us that is responsible for our level of satisfaction. Possessions can only give temporary relief to any inner dis-contentment that may be part of our deep-seated programs. If possessions and wealth were the answer to living a remarkable life experience, then all wealthy, successful people would have the best life experience. However, the reality is that there are people who seem to have everything and are always unhappy, and there are people who have very little but can find joy in the simplest of things.
The difference between those who are happy and those who are not is to be found in the thoughts that are habitually traversing through their mind. Our level of satisfaction with life is determined by the way we FEEL (which is a result of what we are thinking) about the things we have and don’t have! Therefore, it is our feelings that are the best guide to measure the quality of our life experience.
Awareness is the Key to Improving our Life Circumstances!
It’s essential to become aware of how we are feeling at all times because when we feel good, life is good. So if at any time we are not feeling good, it is in our best interest to find a way to improve our mood. We can all do this at any time, no matter what the circumstances, because the way we feel is one hundred percent dependent on our thoughts. Knowing this, we now realize that we can improve our mood at all times by consciously seeking out and focusing on thoughts that will lead us to feel good. Our emotional state of being is our choice and is under our control at all times, simply because of what we are choosing to think!
Knowing this, you would now think that it is easy just to change our thoughts so that we can immediately begin to feel better, which will give us an improved life experience, RIGHT?
However, it’s easy to say, but harder to achieve, because there is a catch! And the catch is this:
Up to ninety percent of the thoughts that traverse our minds are subconscious or unconscious. In other words, we are not consciously aware of what we are thinking, so we do not realize how these thoughts are impacting our decisions and actions.
Why is this NOT GOOD FOR US?
Unfortunately, our subconscious mind does not have the ability to discriminate between what is good or bad for us, and its job is just to keep regurgitating habitual thoughts based on our internal programs. The problem is that it is these existing habitual programs that have led us to create the life we currently have, the life we are currently not satisfied with and are now wanting to improve.
So, if we continue to let our subconscious mind run amuck (business as usual), and keep replaying similar thoughts that have led to this current life, then we can expect to be living a very similar version of this life in the future.
Is this what you want for yourself, more of the same?
So, What Steps Can You Take to Improve Your Life Experience, Begining Now?
It’s important to understand that you are not your mind. Your mind is just a tool that you have been gifted with, and your mind WILL quiet down and WILL follow your instructions if you train it to….. BUT YOU MUST DO SOME WORK ON YOURSELF TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN! AND YOU BEGIN TAKING CONTROL OF YOUR MIND BY BECOMING CONSCIOUSLY AWARE OF YOUR THOUGHTS!
Our ability to consciously and consistently focus our thoughts is our most significant superpower. As previously mentioned, the thoughts we think (consciously and unconsciously) determine how we feel, as well as what actions we take and the reactions we have. And these are the things that are creating our current levels of happiness and satisfaction as well as setting up our future life circumstances.
Therefore, it is absolutely in our own best interests to learn to become consciously aware of our thoughts MORE OFTEN so that we can become the director and producer of our lives instead of just being an actor at the mercy of external events and circumstances.
Change begins, first, with an acceptance of what is. Once we recognize that we have been receiving in exact proportion to what we believed in the past, we can begin replacing the unwanted thoughts with new thoughts that will lead to the future life we wish to create for ourselves. Thoughts come before results and the time lag between the two depends on the consistency and quality of thoughts we have NOW that align with the future outcomes we desire for ourselves.
In this way, we can imagine that our present life is in the ‘service’ of our future selves. Therefore, any time we invest in self-discipline to change non-beneficial thought patterns to ones that align with our desires WILL yield direct beneficial results to our future self.
Becoming more aware and more self-disciplined is essential, and both can quickly be developed by anyone who is willing to spend time practicing techniques that help the mind to focus and become more aware of itself and the environment in which you live. Some methods used to gain a greater understanding of our inner world (the aspect of us that is responsible for creating our outer world) include:
- Meditation
- Mindfulness
- Yoga, Tai Chi, Aikido, etc.
- Self-reflection
- Conscious breathwork
- Connecting with nature
So, How Do You Get to Live Your Dream Life?
Ask yourself, “Will I be happy to receive my future based on the habitual subconscious thoughts that have recently been passing through my mind?”
If the answer is anything but a resounding yes, it will pay you to become more consciously aware of your thoughts more of the time, and consciously direct them towards creating the life that you desire for yourself.
Individuals who develop self-discipline can direct their thoughts and are able to create the future they desire. In contrast, those who lack self-discipline and have their lives determined by other people and circumstances outside of their control.
Are you now beginning to understand how important it is to become aware of your thoughts? It truly is of great benefit to watch less TV, consume less social media, etc. and spend more time creating your awesome future- NOW!
What will you choose?
It’s always wise to choose thoughts that make us feel good. Regardless of circumstances, we can always find something to be grateful for, something to appreciate, and something to lighten our mood. And with practice, these good thoughts will attract more good thoughts to them, and through THE LAW OF ATTRACTION, our lives will begin to transform for the better.
Remember, life is a journey, not a destination, and it is the steps we take and the lessons we learn each and every day that are important!
If you enjoy the steps today, tomorrow, and the next day, then you are already living an amazing life!
Shared with love and respect for all souls who choose to participate in this game of life. It would not be the same if you were not here!

Hey there Andrew,
The discovery of your own thought patterns is such a huge part of everyone’s life, yet it is very rarely talked about in an optimistic fashion.
As you skillfully layout in your article, discovering oneself is a very fruitful and enriching task! Plus – it can be a very interesting and fun journey, even when delving into the darker corners of your ego, as long as you do with some optimism and curiosity.
Thanks for this article, it very clearly and concisely presents the reader with the essence of many philosophies!
Cheers, Frederik
Hi Frederik. It’s interesting that understanding our thought patterns is not something that is taught in Main Stream Education. The ability to understand our selves and how we actually go about creating a life that we desire for ourselves should be a high priority for all of us.
We are all born to be the creators of our own lives, and yet so few people understand this, and so instead end up living a life that conforms to rules imposed upon us by others who have told us that they know what is best for us and society as a whole!
I believe that looking at the results proves that these ‘others’ have not done a good job at creating societies that are well balanced, compassionate, and tolerant towards those that are not like them.
Once we sit back and examine our beliefs, we find that many of the things we have been taught do not serve our highest good or the general wellbeing of society or the planet as a whole. Examples include: We have been taught that war is necessary to keep the peace; that we must compete for resources, jobs, lovers, etc. as scarcity exists everywhere; and that we must work for a third of our lives so that we can enjoy our retirement.
It is our belief that these things are true that makes them true for us, as well as everyone else who believes them. If we changed our beliefs and became more compassionate, abundant, healthy, wealthy, happy, and wise, then, through the law of attraction, this will become our reality.
Parents have a huge responsibility in what they choose to teach their children because it is when we are young and our mind is like a sponge that we absorb beliefs that generally stick with us for the rest of our lives.
I wish you well on your journey,
Cheers, Andrew
I used brainwave entrainment audios quite a lot in the previous decade but had a mixed bag of results from them. Do you put much stock on this as a method of gaining a happier mindset?
Hi, Simon. I see brainwave audios as a tool that can be useful in helping us gain a more positive mindset. But like any tool, they are only as useful as the person operating them. By this, I mean that we have to go in with a positive mindset and really focus on the results we wish to achieve, without allowing conflicting thoughts to arise that will take us away from our goals.
Our success in all things depends on how much effort we are willing to invest to create the outcome we desire.
I wish you all the best,
Andrew
Indeed, we mustn’t expect to receive miracles cure for our ailments or shortcomings in this world. We need to focus on reality and make changes concerning our typical thoughts and habits. We are limited to things that we can control in this world. We are responsible for making something available to us, nobody else, and our happiness is within our control.
That is why we are being scammed every day because we don’t focus on making things available for us but relying on others to give us something. Thanks for the very informative post.
Hi Lucky. We can never be truly happy if we are relying on what others think, say, or do to make us happy. You are right when you say that we need to rely on ourselves for lasting happiness. We can experience joy and happiness when we approve of what others are doing, but when they change what they are doing, we become vulnerable, especially if we don’t like the new behaviours. Therefore, our best option is to look after our state of well-being first, become eternally optomistic and happy, and then we will always have a happy outlook to share with our loved ones.
many thnks for taking the time to share your comments. Kind regards,
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
I love this article. With the way of the world right now, it is so important for people to remain positive and still believe that at the end of this pandemic, we can still achieve our dream life. We just need to make sure we work hard for it because it is not going to come to us on a plate, as you have stated.
Please keep your very uplifting articles coming because you will benefit so many people throughout the world. I have forwarded this post onto my brother and I have asked him to share it with his family. We all need a bit more positivity right now.
Thank you for sharing this, and keep up the amazing work.
All the best,
Tom
Hey Tom. Many thanks for your kind words. I appreciate that you took the time to read and comment on my post.
It’s always possible for us to achieve our dreams regardless of what is happening around us. While there may be many circumstances that are beyond our control, it is always within our power to align with what we desire and therefore create the appropriate vibration so that we attract to us what we consistently think about.
The Main Stream Media is very adapt at programing people with fear, panic, and scarcity. If we buy into what they keep forcing upon us with their day after day programing we will never live a healthy, happy, life. It’s up to us to reprogram our minds to achieve, joy, laughter, love, health and overall abundance if this is what we choose for ourselves. We create this vibration from our thoughts and feelings and then will attract these circumstances into our lives.
I wish you well and hope all of your dreams come true,
With much respect,
Andrew
AMAZING CONTENT…
Wow, I’m blown away, I love that content, such Priceless Advice.
It’s interesting how we suddenly have to STOP and look at oneself, where am I at, where have I come from, and am I happy with where I’m going?
So easily a single thought can throw us off track. I sometimes have to stop and ask myself where are these thoughts coming from as I’m thinking the opposite of what I wanna be thinking. It can be challenging to keep one’s thoughts heading the right direction.
I love the inspiration and the power in your Blog!
(FIGHT FOR THE FUTURE!)
Hi Mate. Thanks for reading my post and taking the time to comment.
I know what you mean when you say “I sometimes have to stop and ask myself where are these thoughts coming from as I’m thinking the opposite of what I wanna be thinking.”
Initially, it is challenging to keep our minds focused in the direction we want to be heading, but it does get easier with practice. Every good thought we have and sustain will attract other similar thoughts to it, so eventually, our old way of thinking is replaced by the new desires we have for ourselves, and then, through the Law of Attraction, our new reality must come into being.
If you are aware of your thoughts more often and can direct them to what you want to create for yourself, you will achieve it!
I wish you all the best my friend, Cheers,
Andrew
